Charles Harrop-Griffiths is a London-based contemporary artist. He creates immersive experiences and sensory installations in VR that address the impact of digital technologies on identity and institution. Alongside his passion for technology is an opposing passion in traditional art mediums such as oil painting and sculpture. Through this altering discipline, Harrop-Griffiths's artworks present the medium as both the concept and vehicle, through which he considers society’s growing addiction to technology and quasi-religious obsession with the internet.

Harrop-Griffiths's work exists at the intersection of conceptual art and applied science; he aims to consolidate physical and digital art processes through blending his practice across a variety of media, including, pencil/ ink drawings, collage, and photography. This results in works that are both aesthetic in quality and innovative in their delivery, thereby challenging the potential of cutting-edge technology in an art historical context.

Charles Harrop-Griffiths received his MA in Fine Art from University of the Arts London, Camberwell (2016). He has exhibited and taken part in residencies throughout the UK, Paris, and America. He is a South Kiosk Award recipient (’16), and was shortlisted for the International Emerging Artist Award (’16).
